Three nights works if you are combining it with \u0130stanbul.<\/td><\/tr>\n        <tr><th>Getting there<\/th><td>Direct flights from many European cities in season, or one hour from \u0130stanbul. Antalya airport (AYT) is close to the city but up to <b>90 minutes<\/b> from the far resorts \u2014 check before you book a hotel.<\/td><\/tr>\n        <tr><th>Sea season<\/th><td><b>May to October.<\/b> June and September are the sweet spot: warm sea, bearable air. July and August are hot \u2014 genuinely hot \u2014 and full.<\/td><\/tr>\n        <tr><th>All-inclusive<\/th><td>Very common here and often genuinely good value. It also keeps you inside the hotel all week, which some people love and some regret. Decide deliberately.<\/td><\/tr>\n        <tr><th>Beaches<\/th><td>Much of the coast is <b>pebble<\/b>, not sand. Lara and Belek are sandy; Kemer and Ka\u015f are stone. Water shoes are a real recommendation, not an upsell.<\/td><\/tr>\n        <tr><th>Ruins<\/th><td>Some of the best-preserved ancient sites anywhere \u2014 Aspendos, Perge, Side, Termessos. Most visitors see none of them, which is a shame.<\/td><\/tr>\n      <\/table>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"sec sec-sand\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Which part<\/p>\n    <h2>Five stretches of coast, five different holidays.<\/h2>\n    <p class=\"lead\">This is the decision that matters. Tell us who is travelling and we will point\n       you at the right one \u2014 including when the cheaper option is the better one.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"g3\">\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f<\/div>\n        <h3>Antalya city &amp; Lara<\/h3>\n        <p>Old town, marina, restaurants and a real city around you. Sandy beach at Lara.\n           Best if you want to walk out of the hotel and find something.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\u26f3<\/div>\n        <h3>Belek<\/h3>\n        <p>Golf, big family resorts, sandy beach. Polished and comfortable. Not much outside\n           the hotels \u2014 which is the point for many people.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\ud83c\udf32<\/div>\n        <h3>Kemer<\/h3>\n        <p>Mountains meeting the sea, pine forest, pebble beaches, clearer water. Cooler in the\n           evening. Popular with visitors who find Belek too manicured.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\ud83c\udffa<\/div>\n        <h3>Side<\/h3>\n        <p>Roman ruins in the middle of the town and a temple on the point. Good compromise\n           between resort comfort and something to look at.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\ud83e\udd3f<\/div>\n        <h3>Ka\u015f &amp; Kalkan<\/h3>\n        <p>Three hours west, and a different country. Small, hilly, no mega-resorts, exceptional\n           water. Our recommendation for couples who do not want a big hotel.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"card\">\n        <div class=\"ico\">\ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udc67\u200d\ud83d\udc66<\/div>\n        <h3>Alanya<\/h3>\n        <p>Longer transfer, lower prices, lively and busy. Good value if the drive does not\n           put you off.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"note\">\n      <p><b>The mistake we see most:<\/b> booking a cheap deal in Alanya or Ka\u015f, then discovering\n         the airport transfer is two to three hours each way. It is not a disaster, but it is two\n         half-days of your holiday. Always ask the transfer time before you accept a hotel price \u2014\n         from us or from anyone.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"sec\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Worth leaving the hotel for<\/p>\n    <h2>Three days that are not by the pool<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"steps\">\n      <div class=\"step\">\n        <div class=\"k\">01<\/div>\n        <h3>Aspendos &amp; Perge<\/h3>\n        <p>The Roman theatre at Aspendos still hosts concerts because the acoustics still work.\n           Go early \u2014 there is no shade at midday.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"step\">\n        <div class=\"k\">02<\/div>\n        <h3>A boat day<\/h3>\n        <p>Out of Kemer or Ka\u015f. Swimming from the boat in water you can see the bottom of.\n           A private boat for a family costs less than most people assume.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"step\">\n        <div class=\"k\">03<\/div>\n        <h3>The old town at dusk<\/h3>\n        <p>Kalei\u00e7i \u2014 Ottoman houses, the harbour, and dinner where the city eats rather than\n           where the coaches stop.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"sec sec-sand\">\n  <div class=\"narrow\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">\u0412\u044a\u043f\u0440\u043e\u0441\u0438<\/p>\n    <h2>Before you write<\/h2>\n    <details open>\n      <summary>Is all-inclusive worth it?<\/summary>\n      <p>For families with children, usually yes. For couples who want to eat out and explore,\n         often not \u2014 you pay for meals you do not eat. Tell us how you actually like to travel\n         and we will say which one suits you.<\/p>\n    <\/details>\n    <details>\n      <summary>How hot is August really?<\/summary>\n      <p>Regularly above 35\u00b0C, sometimes far above, with warm nights. It is a pool-and-shade\n         holiday, not a sightseeing one. If your dates are flexible, September is better in\n         every way except school holidays.<\/p>\n    <\/details>\n    <details>\n      <summary>Can I combine Antalya with \u0130stanbul?<\/summary>\n      <p>Yes, and it is the most common Turkish trip: three or four days in \u0130stanbul, then a\n         one-hour flight south for the beach.
