Sabiha Gokcen is on the Asian side. If your hotel is in Sultanahmet or Taksim, you have around 50 km and a bridge between you and your bed — frequently more than 90 minutes. This is the longest of our standard airport routes, which is why it costs more than the others.

Many visitors book a cheap flight into Sabiha Gokcen without checking where it is. If you have not booked yet and your hotel is on the European side, a flight into Istanbul Airport (IST) is usually the better choice once the transfer is counted.
